After 16 years successfully climbing the corporate ladder around the world, I’ve taken the leap to building my own business. It’s not without a certain amount of trepidation after the security of a salary and a big institution behind me, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!
Throughout my career I have been passionate about leadership development and have seen the immense impact leaders can have on their teams – both positive and negative. My aim is to combine my experience in building and leading teams in different cultures, together with my coaching skills and interest in personal development, to benefit my clients and their teams.
Preparing for and then landing in your first leadership role is both daunting and exciting. I will be there to help support you as you define your strengths, values and how you can be the most effective leader. I will provide structure, challenge and support through those important early days and beyond. I can provide key pointers and pitfalls to be aware of, having made many of the mistakes myself! My aim is to give you confidence in being you at the best of your abilities and to enjoy the learning journey.
Whether you are working out how to get your next promotion, land well in your new role or taking on more significant responsibility internationally, I can support you.
I am also a firm believer that work is not everything so will ensure your plan is holistic in taking care of you and connecting to what is important to you. You will be a far more interesting and engaging leader when you are happy and enjoying your life outside of work!
If you’re considering your next steps or preparing for a step up, please get in touch to discuss how I can help. In my blog I will be sharing more thoughts on leadership, including interviews and book recommendations. I plan to tackle some of the challenging issues we all wrestle with as leaders with real life experiences. Please subscribe to follow me if you’re interested.
Wish me luck!
Wishing you every success in your new venture, Joanna. How can we here at the AoEC support your next steps? Look forward to catching up
